So, there is some news on the baby front. I (Tyler) am posting this because Kelli is all hooked up to her monitors in the hospital. As she mentioned in her previous post, Kelli's doctor put her on bed rest because Kelli developed preeclampsia. During our ultrasound visit on Friday, Dr. Petersen said that things looked so good she might let Kelli go to 38 weeks (she had originally said she would deliver by 37 weeks). However, when Kelli went to her appointment this morning, Dr. Petersen became concerned and decided to induce today. It could take 24 to 48 hours to get the baby here, though. So, here we sit ... at the hospital ... waiting. The baby will be about 4 weeks early, but the latest ultrasounds indicate he is already about 7 pounds, so we are not super worried. Nevertheless, prayers on his behalf are appreciated. We will keep the blog updated as things progress and will post pictures as soon as we get some.

Oh my goodness! We'll be praying for your little guy to arrive in wonderful health and for Kelli to recover quickly and easily. I'm so glad that his weight is around 7 lbs. That'll definitely help. We can't wait to see pics of your sweet baby!
Jon and I were just talking about ya'll today at lunch and wondering what the latest was. Please keep us updated! I'm assuming you're at Hsv Hosp? If you need anything please please please let us know!
We're all praying, can't wait to see baby!
7 lbs isn't exactly a small baby :) I am sure he will be great, and Kelli will do wonderfully! In the immortal words of Bill Cosby "Push him out, Shove him out, Waaaay out!!!"
Wow - here he comes! I had preeclampsia with my first baby, and I remember that the shock of being told I'd have to be induced weeks before my due date took longer to sink in than the actual birth! Hopefully it's much less time than 24-48 hours...I vote for 8ish! But I hope all goes well for you and the little one - I bet you can't wait to meet him!
