Slow

So, we are still waiting for baby. The doctor is taking things slowly. The nurse thinks the baby probably won't be born until tomorrow. Kelli is being a real trooper. She has been put on magnesium to help control her blood pressure. However, magnesium is also used to stop pre-term labor, so we have competing forces at work. The magnesium also means that she has to stay in bed from here on out. It makes her really hot, so the thermostat is turned down to 60. It's pretty cold in here. Kelli is also back to not being able to eat (or drink) anything but ice chips. Continued prayers are appreciated. We'll keep you posted.

Poor Kelli! That sounds so miserable. I know she knows that it'll be well worth it. And Kelli, you are going to be an AMAZING mother. I just know it.

Hang in there! So sorry you're having to go through this. It's all worth it and you'll hardly think about it once the baby is finally here!! We'll keep the prayers coming!

Yuck, this sounds terrible. Poor girl. Hungry, hot and tired...not many worse combinations. We hope he shows up healthy and well, and soon.

Good luck to the two of you, labor is stressful; on the bright side, it won't last forever and soon you'll have a beautiful new member of your family.

I hate labor and delivery nurses!!! No food or drinks... they're evil. It's not bad enough that we're fat and miserable and can't get out of bed and are in pain, oh no, now you can't even get relief from eating and drinking! Evil people! :) I'm sorry, this is no fun that your first pregnancy has been so complicated. Our prayers are with you.

Just remember, do whatever is best for the baby. That's the most important part. Good luck!
